The vegetarian options were a highlight, with fresh local produce shining on the plates. Plus, the spacious premium room boasted a amazing view of the marina, a sight to wake up to! The indoor and outdoor pools offered a perfect chill spot for those sunny afternoons.
Though the nearby dining scene felt a bit limited, we were left searching for a bite after 9 PM on New Year's Eve. Plus, getting around was a hassle, with taxis being the only option.

Very modern and clean, but utterly soulless. Next to a massive unfinished, deserted, concrete structure. Grim!!

Hotel Puerto Sherry is a fine, nautical themed hotel.. Just how a Nautica branded hotel would be. It offers spectacular views of the sea, is surrounded by beaches and a forest, and is generally very well- situated, away from the hustle and bustle of old town.
The hotel is really far removed from the public transport networks. You need a cab for every instance that you need to go out and that can make it very expensive (cab drivers start clocking the meter as they start driving towards you). Also, there needs to be an active system of management for cleanliness (my room had dust which was cleared shortly after making the complaint).

Loved the spacious premium room, but the mattress was too hard for a good sleep.

Location & weather
This is a magnificent hotel with great amenities when they are opened.I Had to complain directly by email to hotel regarding our stay. The air conditioning was not working resulting in us having to open a window at night by which my husband was extremely bitten by mosquitos 37 times and had to go to the pharmacy and since returning home to the doctor.. We could not understand why air conditioning was not working as we were told that the computer did not work for this and they did send a men up a couple of times but the air conditioning was working in reception areas. We requested a fan a number of times but to no satisfaction.I Tried to explain my husband was diabetic and that he was being badly bitten at night even though he used a spray on his skin to deter them. The room was extremely small with too much furniture for its size. We had to put a white garment on the glass table at night so we would not hit off it going to the bathroom. The swimming pools were not opened which it did not state on the website and there was constant drilling on next door hotel roofwhen we were trying to sunbathe. There was no atmosphere there as it was quite empty when we were there. The first evening of arrival we had dinner there which was lovely but we were the only two persons there so we did not go again. Overall it is a beautiful hotel with excellent views and amenities if you go in the busy season. You do need transport even a bicycle as a taxi cost us almost €8 before we left the hotel front as it is the way the road is laid out you must go down the port and back again. I would go back and stay there again but only in the busy season as our experience off season was not good. The staff were very courteous and nice but our lack of spanish and theirs of english was a bit of a problem but that is not their fault. Our room was not suitable for more than two.

Everything!! Staff, food, setting, room. Since the refurbishment this hotel is better than ever.Great for a chill out, or everything is at hand to be more energetic. It is also great value for money. The little catamaran crossing down the road from Puerto Santa Maria is excellent and saves parking headaches in Cadiz as it goes to the centre of the old town.We are definitely returning. The friends who came with us will be returning too.

Everyone on staff at the hotel treated us with unbelievable respect. They offered such great customer service and did it joyously! The room was so beautiful and clean and quiet. It's located right on a port and the walk to the beach is beautiful and colorful.
It wasn't easy to get to by public transportation and we had to walk 40 minutes to the nearest grocery store. But the walk is all along the beach so even that is not too bad.

The stay here was pleasant, enjoyed the hotel, it was fairly clean with lovely and magnificent location close enough to a harbor and bars, coffee shop and restaurant. A huge variety of food for breakfast, which was good to satisfy everyone.
Nothing negative to say.

The mattresses were unbearably hard, horrible for sleep, and good luck finding fresh food at breakfast since everything was empty. On top of that, I asked for a complimentary welcome gift, but they acted like I was asking for a miracle. I almost thought of giving a good review, but just couldn't.

Very comfortable, spacious room, great value for money (last minute deal), friendly staff.
Location is not great for going into town (couple of miles away). But right by the port so great if you happen to own a boat! Impersonal, corporate feel, and hotel area is surrounded by unfinished developments.

tastefully decorated rooms, free wi-fi is a huge plus!
All was perfect.

The room was spacious with a lovely balcony.
The breakfast options were quite limited, and I found myself waiting far too long for essentials like eggs and fruit, frustrating. While the balcony was large and comfortable, noise from the halls at night made it hard to relax. I also encountered difficulties with service, as it felt disorganized and I had to remind staff multiple times for basic items.

The best thing about our stay in this hotel is that, afterwards, when you get home, you'll have gained a all new bunch of funny stories about curious and unblessed travelling episodes to tell your friends and family.
For those of you outthere who are Stanley Kubrick fans, this was the closest I've ever been to a "The Shinning" experience. We were there in September, seemed all empty and preparing for hibernation. The indoor pool? Empty and closed for for reparation works. Why there is still a photo of this indoor pool in the booking websites? Maybe they like to make fun of us all, or maybe they're just being dishonest.
